MarketBoost AI ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") is a Chrome extension that helps sellers post inventory to Facebook Marketplace and Groups. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our extension and related services.

2. Information We Collect

• Inventory Data: Vehicle/product details you enter (title, description, price, images, VIN, etc.) that you choose to post to Facebook.
• Facebook Account Information: To post on your behalf, we require permission to interact with your Facebook Marketplace and Groups. We do not store your Facebook password.
• Usage Data: Logs of extension usage (e.g., posts created, actions taken) for analytics and support purposes.
• Device Information: Browser version, extension version, IP address (for security and support).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the extension and our services.
• Process your account and transactions.
• Enable you to post inventory to Facebook on your behalf.
• Diagnose technical problems and provide customer support.
• Improve our extension and develop new features.

4. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms (PBKDF2) and are never stored in plaintext. Session tokens are encrypted and expire after a set period.

The extension does not use cookies or traditional tracking methods. Your data is stored securely in our database on Cloudflare Workers. Your browser's local storage contains only your session token and user configuration.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Facebook: The extension interacts with Facebook Marketplace and Groups to post inventory on your behalf. Facebook's own privacy policy applies to data shared with them.
• Cloudflare: Our backend infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to data processed through their services.
• Anthropic (Claude API): We use Claude for AI-powered content generation (optional feature). Anthropic's privacy policy applies to any data sent to Claude.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and inventory data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Certain data may be retained for legal compliance and fraud prevention purposes.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

This data is stored securely and is only accessible to authorized personnel in response to valid legal requests. We may disclose this information to law enforcement, government agencies, or court orders without additional notice to you.

11. Extension Permissions

MarketBoost AI requires certain browser permissions to function. We request access only to the minimum permissions necessary:

• Storage: To securely store your account session and extension configuration locally in your browser.
• Side Panel: To display the extension's user interface in the Chrome side panel.
• Active Tab: To detect when you are on Facebook Marketplace pages so we can assist with form filling.
• Facebook Marketplace & Groups: To enable posting automation on your behalf on the platforms you choose.
• API Access: To communicate with our backend servers for authentication and data synchronization.

The extension does NOT access your Facebook password, browsing history, cookies, or any other sensitive browser data beyond what is necessary for the features listed above.

12. Facebook Permissions Disclosure

We only access Facebook information necessary to perform actions explicitly initiated by you through the extension interface. We do not:

• Monitor your Facebook activity outside of the Marketplace/Groups posting flow.
• Access your Facebook messages unless you explicitly request auto-reply functionality.
• Collect your contact information, friends list, or personal profile data.
• Share your Facebook credentials with third parties.

All Facebook interactions are performed on your behalf through your existing browser session. Your Facebook login credentials are never sent to our servers.

13. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using MarketBoost AI, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and its processing under U.S. law. We maintain appropriate safeguards to protect your data regardless of location.

14. GDPR and CCPA Rights

European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom Residents: You have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

You may request deletion of your data and opt out of data sales (we do not sell your data). You also have the right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of MarketBoost AI complies with Facebook's Terms of Service and Community Standards.

• Violating intellectual property rights or trademark laws.
• Spam, misleading claims, or deceptive practices.
• Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination.
• Any activity that violates Facebook's policies or applicable laws.

Violation of this Acceptable Use policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

16. Legal Holds and Law Enforcement

We retain account activity logs, transaction records, and fraud prevention data to comply with law enforcement requests and legal obligations. This data is preserved even after account deletion:

• Fraud Investigation: We maintain records of suspicious activities (multiple accounts, policy violations, misrepresentation) to protect other users and investigate illegal activity.
• Law Enforcement Disclosure: We may disclose account information, activity logs, and transaction history to law enforcement agencies, government authorities, or courts in response to valid legal processes including subpoenas, warrants, and court orders.
• Preservation of Evidence: Upon receipt of a preservation notice or legal request, we will retain all relevant data for the duration specified by law.
• No Prior Notice: In accordance with law enforcement requests, we may be legally prohibited from notifying you of such disclosures.

Retention of this data is necessary to prevent fraud, protect other users, and comply with legal obligations.
